The Digital Applications Strategist will oversee the development and implementation of strategic projects related to web, social, collaborative tools and mobile app development for Hackensack Meridian Health, focusing on engaging team members, patients and consumers. The Digital Applications Strategist will support the network's growth, efficiency and engagement strategies. This person will also lead marketing team members in developing integrated marketing plans that include digital product development, customer relationship management targeting and outreach, digital advertising including display, search engine optimization, search engine marketing and social media display and engagement. The strategist also will coordinate project implementation and planning with internal stakeholders including information technology, human resources and administration

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Digital Applications Strategist with Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Serve as a valued member of the Hackensack Meridian Digital Team

  • Manage day-to-day implementation of digital strategy.

  • Manage the planning, development, implementation, and analysis of customer relationship management (CRM) strategies including direct to consumer campaigns and
    measuring marketing effectiveness.

  • Manage production, scheduling, and delivery of digital campaigns, integrating goals of diverse stakeholders and participate in strategic decision-making for audience selection and segmentation.

  • Support digital efforts in an omnichannel Contact Management Center, particularly around concierge chat, Live Chat, SMS and email

  • Track and interpret performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns and social media strategy to measure effectiveness.

  • Assist with digital product development for internal and external customers with eye toward designing systems that meet UI and UX principles.

  • Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive network-wide content management strategy across all digital platforms, including but not limited to writing for digital

    platforms, developing style guides and advising internal stakeholders on best use of
    digital content.

  • Advise and develop integrated digital campaigns for internal and external audiences with key stakeholders to ensure that HMH is leveraging appropriately all digital
    platforms

  • Learn and execute new digital strategy practices following industry trends and best practices in both healthcare and consumer industries

  • Occasional weekend and evening work hours required.

  • Other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, business, marketing, IT and/or a combination of related coursework and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital engagement and tools, integrated marketing, product development and prototyping, social media management, contact management, information architecture, information technology, customer relationship management and/or website and mobile app creation and maintenance.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects and integrate the goals of diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in effectively managing external vendors.
  • Track record of success in implementing diverse digital platforms that work for patients, consumers and team members
  • Deep understanding of analytics (Google Analytics preferred) and reputation management tools.
  • Deep understanding of digital technology tools, including content management systems (Sitecore preferred), consumer outreach tools like automated SMS, email outreach, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital content creation, applying the standards of strong usability and user experience principles.
  • Certification in usability experience or demonstrated knowledge of UX and UI principles.
  • Strong information technology skills, including basic programming of HTML, working knowledge of APIs and Web Services and FHIR.
  • Some knowledge of product development in digital tools, including how to research, design and prototype
  • Proven ability to synthesize both short-and long-term planning.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Flexible work style, and ability to work within a diverse team.
