Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Sales Specialist to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be a technically savvy professional with a strong background in life sciences and a proven track record in sales. This role requires a strategic thinker who is comfortable engaging with clients in academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical settings, and who can effectively drive conversations to identify and meet the customer's scientific needs with our comprehensive portfolio solutions.

The ideal candidate will be located in the Greater Metro Area/New York City area.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • You will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients in the academic, biotech, and pharma sectors.
  • Your role will be to understand and articulate the scientific applications and benefits of our product portfolio.
  • You will drive new lead generation and expand the portfolio's footprint within the assigned territory.
  • One of your tasks will be to employ a metrics-driven approach to achieve sales targets and deliver results.
  • You will provide technical and basic scientific support during the sales process.
  • Utilize CRM tools proficiently, with a preference for experience in Salesforce.com (SFDC), to track customer interactions and sales progress.
  • You will be expected to attend industry conferences, workshops, and other networking events to promote our products and services.
  • One of your responsibilities will be to stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.

What will convince us:

  • You have completed a Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
  • You possess 3+ years' experience in related field sales experience.
  • You possess 1+ year(s) of experience in selling capital equipment in the life sciences sector.
  • Willing and able to travel within the territory as needed.

Compensation for this position will be a base salary between $90,000.00 and $130,000.00 depending upon experience and qualifications. Commissions for this position generally range up to 30% of a candidate's base salary.
