How can you make an impact?

The Manager of Medical QBanks will build and own the content of a new comprehensive assessment database for medical and healthcare learners and institutions, as well as work closely with others on the feature set and technical requirements of a new QBank platform serving medical education. The primary mission of the role is to lead the creation of a multi-thousand item bank of high-quality questions and answers tied to USMLE standards and learning objectives. Guiding content updates and managing a process of continual quality assessment and review is also central to the role. The position will also be closely involved in decision making and execution of adapted versions of the QBank for regional markets internationally. The position will align closely, and interact frequently, with staff spanning Product Operations, Platform and Product Delivery, Editorial, Marketing, Sales, and Production.This is a remote position open to applicants within the United States

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the creation of a medical QBank of the high standards for the undergraduate medical education market.
  • Recruit and manage a bench of qualified item writers and reviewers.
  • Evaluate content on an ongoing basis to ensure that the items meet quality and quantity requirements.
  • Create and maintain taxonomy and content blueprint to inform question bank structure and focus.
  • Oversee and inform all metadata tagging.
  • Put processes in place to evaluate validity of all questions.
  • Work in tandem with product team to ensure that:
  • Content and technical requirements are aligned.
  • All content enhancements are properly communicated via the roadmap.
  • Participate in customer research and implement any relevant learnings.
  • Stay up to date on all changes to related national licensing exams.
  • Align closely with leaders of critical digital products serving the UME space, including Boards and Beyond, FirstAidForward, and Case Files Collection
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer success, and the Digital Platform Group to support success of the QBank initiative

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in the assessment/educational space, plus if medical education or publishing.
  • Experience in and/or working knowledge of psychometrics and application to QBank management.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, teamwork and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Atlassian Jira/Confluence, MS Office applications, Pendo, Adobe Experience Manager
  • Interest in medicine.
  • Experience in EdTech, specifically medical education is a plus.
  • Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Passion for and commitment to the importance of high-quality output and content.
  • Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to communicate diplomatically.

The pay range for this position is between $75,000-$130,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
