Job Title: Material Handler I

Location: Somerset, NJ


Shifts Available:

2nd Shift is Monday to Friday from 2:00pm until 10:10pm (*shift differential pay*)

Weekend Day Shift is Friday to Sunday from 6:00am until 6:00pm (*shift differential pay*)

Weekend Night Shift is Friday to Sunday from 6:00pm until 6:00am (*shift differential pay*)

Position Overview/Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for becoming certified to operate a PIT and or other powered material handling equipment to move, stack and put away materials in a safe and efficient manner. Perform stocking duties of Components, Raw Material and Bulk to and from the Packaging and Pre-Weigh Area's. Must be certified in all XP requirements pertaining to the packaging, Pre-Weigh, and Warehouse areas. Perform system transactions accurately. Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, pallet wrapping machine or other powered equipment. Ensure that all cGMP, OTC and SOPs are followed.

What we are looking for:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse environment including operating a forklift preferred
  • Must meet requirements for Hazardous waste collection and other safety and quality training.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stand and lift 50 lbs for the duration of the assigned shift.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.

What You Will Learn:

  • Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, or other powered equipment.
  • Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Safely operate pallet wrapping machine and other assigned equipment following prescribed work methods and OHSA standards.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, reporting quality and count variances to your lead / manager when they occur.
  • Ensure that all cGMP, OTC and SOPs are followed.
  • Pull and prepare materials for safe shipment by strapping, wrapping, and or securing bolt rings while ensuring that the exact number and type of product is picked loaded and shipped, this includes performing a partial pick when necessary and/ or XP Raw Material or Bulk.


What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have responsible work habits and have the ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Must meet requirements for Hazardous waste collection and other safety and quality training.
  • Must be able lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, stand for the duration of the assigned shift.
  • Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly.
  • The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important.
  • Ability to meet the number of movements per day goal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year experience in warehouse environment including operating a forklift.
  • Familiarity with label scanning equipment.
