Job Overview

The Field Project Manager will manage residential and commercial meter exchange projects for utility companies throughout the nation, focusing on independently collaborating with the client's project team and managing/executing contracts. This role will also lead all other aspects of assigned projects, including scope, budgets, installations, warehousing, safety and training, etc.

A Day In The Life
  • Act as the primary liaison with client; define, manage, and prioritize scope and schedule
  • Ensure timely and on-budget execution of projects with high customer satisfaction levels
  • Manage the project team and subcontractor schedules, cost, and quality
  • Author change orders, SOWs, status reports, and other project documentation, as applicable
  • Perform issue management and address/resolve customer concerns
  • Perform other duties as necessary/assigned.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor's degree OR associate degree combined with formal Project Management training. This education requirement must be in combination with the below professional requirements.
  • At least 4 years of project management experience in the utility industry with a consistent customer-facing responsibility
  • Experience working in a highly independent environment
  • Experience presenting on-site with internal and external field resources and clients
  • Strong knowledge of and solid ability to utilize Microsoft Excel (intermediate to expert level) and other Microsoft Office products (Word, MS Project, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio)
  • Ability to travel nationally and abroad, according to assignment(s)

Preferred:

  • Experience leading (electric, gas, water) utility projects with both in-house and subcontracted employees

Physical Demand:

  • Frequent standing, sitting, typing, speaking, walking, reaching, crouching, bending, and kneeling.
  • Moderate to extensive travel

Compensation Range:

$98,100.00 - $147,000.00
