Job Description

Job Summary:

The Managing Director, Healthcare Advisory (HCA) is responsible for all aspects of client engagement services delivery, satisfaction, management,, and retention, with a central focus on healthcare business operations, value creation, and strategy. This role will experience senior level negotiations, project management, and giving presentations to senior executives, physicians, and care delivery providers. The Managing Director will also identify and create opportunities to deliver Advisory and other BDO services to current BDO clients. Moreover, the Managing Director will monitor and identify industry trends that align with HCA services, develop client prospect target(s), and work collaboratively with Sales/Business Development professionals to initiate prospect outreach processes to provide Advisory services as needed. Additionally, the Managing Director will market and sell services, present at industry conferences, and recruit, develop and mentor staff.

Job Duties:

  • Executes client projects, working independently or as part of a team
  • Provides Healthcare Advisory and strategic guidance to clients across business service lines
  • Assesses clinical, financial, and operational programs that generate value for the client
  • Assists in the development of Programs and Initiatives that Integrate health care services
  • Develops and closes a pipeline of opportunities for Health Care Advisory services
  • Leverages the resources of BDO for success of the client in a wide variety of areas, including but not limited to finance/budget, reimbursement, HR, insurance, and technology
  • Establishes and maintains long term sales and services to satisfy the client's needs
  • Provides supporting data and industry expertise for financial and statistical analysis as requested
  • Is directly responsible for solution engagement and thought leadership for industry areas as assigned by Segment and Practice Leaders
  • Is directly responsible for delivery quality within solution leader role
  • Is directly responsible for client engagement resource planning and solution recruitment needs, planning, and hiring cycle completion
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the day-to-day workload of Directors, Senior Managers, Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Life Sciences or Business, preferred
  • Master's degree with Healthcare concentration, preferred

Experience:

  • Ten (10) or more years' experience in healthcare industry, required
  • Five (5) or more years' experience in consulting, preferred
  • Ten (10) or more years in senior healthcare leadership in strategy, operations, clinical and financial innovation, preferred
  • Direct P/L responsibility and oversight, preferred

Software:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required

Language:

  • N/A

  • Ability to follow organizational policies and procedures sufficient to carry out day to day activities
  • Knowledge of fiscal management to aid in the operation of the practice sites within budgetary constraints and with maximum financial efficiency
  • Knowledge of human resource management techniques to provide leadership to a diverse group of employees with sensitivity to legal and practical concerns
  • Ability to learn the practice management computer system and its application sufficient to carry out job responsibilities

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

NYC/ Long Island/Westchester Range: $195,000 - $325,000
