ABOUT THE JOB:

This is an individual contributor role within the Marketing team with an opportunity to grow into larger strategic responsibilities. The Senior Manager of Partnerships will report to the Director of Partnerships.

The Senior Manager of Partnerships will support partner marketing initiatives, own overall marketing calendar, identify new opportunities, and coordinate new product and partner launches. This critical role will ensure our continued successful results for the partnership channel as well as strong and balanced relationships with our partners. The Senior Manager of Partnerships will develop B2C and B2B2C annual marketing plans using a multi-channel approach, spearhead strategic initiatives and drive growth through innovative campaigns.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop thoughtful and strategic marketing plans that go beyond the day to day - using creative marketing tactics, segmentation and tailored messaging. Deliverables will cover a multitude of marketing channels, including events, webinars, digital and print
  • Ownership of premier affinity partner relationships; including routing contracts, monthly partner reporting, compliance approvals, partner event planning and partner program marketing.
  • Develop a deep understanding of partner audience - their educational journey, career milestones, financial needs and pain points, what drives/motivates them and how Laurel Road can support them on their financial journey.
  • Ability to pivot marketing strategy based on internal business changes and be nimble with marketing efforts
  • Proactively look for growth opportunities to expand product suite with existing partners - execute end to end new product launches through partner marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Team to onboard new partners and ensure a seamless 90 day launch plan and smooth handoff
  • Ongoing review of competitor activity and best practices, with the ability to bring key learnings into practice
  • Forecasting for partners within portfolio across all adopted products that aligns with partner planned initiatives and leverages historical data
  • Conducting comprehensive analysis of partner results through reporting to evaluate performance, monitor variances against forecast and develop actionable insights for future campaigns and initiatives. Proactively share insights/learnings both internally and externally - along with any strategic solutions to improve performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications: College degree or equivalent experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing or account management
  • Degree in marketing, Communications or related field preferred

Experience:

  • Strong financial acumen required - strong command and understanding of success metrics for initiatives - proactively benchmark for leadership
  • Successful track record of developing a marketing strategy, creating a targeted marketing campaign and delivering on the campaign from end to end
  • Must be relationship-driven and have the maturity to interface independently with executives both internal and external - with a proven ability to influence people in a constructive fashion.
  • Must be collaborative, and solutions orientated with an ability to come up with creative solutions to problems. A deep understanding of marketing plans and referral programs is critical.
  • Well versed in offline and online marketing tactics, including social media, events, and content marketing
  • Enthusiasm for planning and execution, a creative thinker that wants to follow through on seeing ideas come to life
  • Ability to build trust and credibility, across all levels of the organization and with partners
  • Analytical thinker, focused on optimizing customer experience and success

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 to $135,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
