Vogue is looking for a Digital Visuals Editor & Photographer to be responsible for curating innovative visual content across Vogue's digital platforms, including social, websites, commerce, and newsletters. This is a hands-on role that includes self-producing and capturing assets, photo research, editing, and design - ensuring that all assigned work meets brand integrity and production quality standards, while remaining on schedule and on budget.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage non-commissioned photography across digital platforms (.com, social, newsletter, commerce, etc.) ensuring images are consistent with Vogue's aesthetic, style, visual language, and quality standards.

  • Work closely with senior creative staff, editors, writers, and other team members to understand visual/photo needs for assigned projects and prioritize accordingly.

  • Own all research, image selection, credits, and CMS upload/publication across platforms.

  • Self-produce and photograph content multiple times per week, ensuring the creative concept is upheld from brief to final delivery, including:

    • Create visual mood boards

    • Commission teams and liaise with agents, studios, stylists, hair/makeup, and other vendors as needed throughout the project

    • Create and maintain timelines, schedules, budgets, shot-lists, call-sheets, and other production documents-proactively sharing and communicating this information to all key stakeholders throughout the project

    • Manage on-set coordination including problem-solving when issues arise and communicating clearly to help ensure the visual direction is executed successfully

    • Partner with Video colleagues as needed to ensure appropriate synergy across photo and video production

    • Own the post-production process for lo-res and hi-res photo selection and final delivery. For self-shot photos, edit, process, retouch, color correct, archive, and upload all files in an organized manner.

  • Exercise sound judgment in managing to assigned budgets and in escalating to more senior visuals/creative leaders and/or Business Operations Director when needed.

  • Secure contracts, photo fees, and usage rights for all images (produced and researched), in partnership with CN legal and business affairs teams.

  • Track and process all invoices in a timely manner and wrap jobs accurately and efficiently.

  • Support more senior visuals/creative team members as needed on commissioned photo shoot production and/or other design projects.

  • Support Global Creative Director and other staff on pitches (editorial, branded, custom) and special projects, as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years work experience in photo/visual production or related field, with knowledge of various image libraries, stock agencies, photographers, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience in fashion and lifestyle photography and illustration; experience with portrait and documentary photography is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of archival/historical images and fine art sources

  • Strong editorial judgment with demonstrated experience contributing to visual stories across platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (incl. Lightroom), with the ability to edit and adjust images for a variety of digital platforms. Skills/experience with animation is a plus.

  • A highly motivated self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  • A meticulous eye for detail and impeccable organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • A work-style that balances entrepreneurial spirit with operational rigor.

  • Ability to travel on occasion for assignments and shoots, as requested by more senior visuals/creative staff.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $74,500-$85,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
