Overview

The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) team in New York is looking for a Director to support our Condit origination and securitization business line. Deutsche Bank's Commercial Real Estate Group provides financing to public corporations, private equity groups and individuals owning or acquiring commercial real estate assets in all property types including hotel and lodging, industrial, manufactured housing, multifamily, office and retail across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Deutsche Bank CRE is an active participant in CMBS primary issuance capital markets and is a go to lender for large institutional CRE developers and investors. In addition, CRE, through its Real Estate Special Situations Group, is an active investor in distressed commercial mortgages and other real estate debt instruments acquired in the secondary market from other financial institutions and non-bank lenders globally.

What You'll Do

  • Review internal investment summaries and credit memos

  • Coordinate transactions within tight timeframes, involving several groups within Deutsche Bank, Joint Venture investment partners and third-party advisors

  • Produce institutional-quality presentations, case studies and marketing materials

  • You will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing underwriting, market analysis and valuation

How You'll Lead

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the preparing of complex financial analyses and pricing models and maintain client relationships / generating new client business

  • Oversee a team of Vice President, Associate / Analyst level resources

Skills You'll Need

  • Highly developed organizational and project/time-management skills, with specific attention to detail

  • Developed leadership and team management skills

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with strong proficiency in Argus, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Prior excel financial modelling experience is necessary

  • Prior real estate valuation experience is necessary, client interaction and the ability to source and bring in viable loan origination opportunities

  • Corporate finance, commercial real estate credit or private equity experience

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
