Job Description
As the Process Expert, you will be responsible for effectively implementing Sartorius solutions during pivotal/late-stage process development & scale-up to commercial process. You will also be responsible for consulting with customers in optimizing late clinical or commercial processes. These tasks will be accomplished through driving targeted number of Sales Opportunities with measurable commercial impact.

You will lead global coordination with qualified customers in close collaboration with sales during Tech. Transfers and Commercialization of late-stage molecules to in-network manufacturing sites or CDMO's. This position is also responsible for identifying and maintaining critical Sartorius technologies during Tech. Transfers and driving conversions of ancillary technologies to help drive business growth.

For Optimization Projects, this position will assemble & lead teams on DISCOVER Process Surveys, execute long-term customer collaborations, drive complex conversion projects, and execute single-use optimization and rationalization strategies with assistance from internal resources when necessary.

This position should be able to execute an advanced technical sales strategy to build long-term value-based partnership that enables sustained consumables sales growth.

What you will accomplish together with us

  • You will act as a process consultant on sales leads and opportunities to drive adoption of Sartorius technologies / platforms that provide measurable commercial impact.
  • One of your tasks will be to provide scale-up, process characterization and global Tech. Transfer support for biologics beyond Clinical Phase 1 across modalities by identifying target customers in collaboration with sales. creating desired # of opportunities with measurable sales value.
  • In this role, you will execute Discover Process surveys at customer sites that includes identifying, recruiting, and leading the internal team of SME's, executing on-site Gemba walk, writing report, presenting key findings to customers, and following up to drive prime projects implementation through local FAS and SU Technology Experts.
  • You will deliver conversion of critical technologies in individual processes or process platforms through either Process Consulting or Discover Surveys/ Gemba walks, in close collaboration with Sales.
  • You will use total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) and cost of goods sold (CoGS) modelling tools as necessary for adoption of Sartorius solutions to drive long-term sales growth.
  • One of your duties will be to conduct facility fit assessments with customers and identify and drive changes needed to implement appropriate Sartorius products.
  • You will assist with the coordination and implementation of PAT & Data Analytics tools with SME's during Commercialization and Optimization projects.
  • Coordinate assessment of Regulatory impact & change control management needed, through regulatory expert(s) in the team.
  • Assist customers with commercial risk assessment based on modality/indications/target markets and consult on scale needed for late-clinical and commercial production.

Up to 30% domestic and international travel. There is potential of up to four international trips per year)

What will convince us

  • You have completed a bachelor's degree with a focus in chemical, mechanical, bioengineering, or a related discipline
  • You have a minimum of 8+ years' experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in process development, scale-up, MSAT, tech. transfer or manufacturing.
  • Work experience in any two of the aforementioned departments preferred.
  • You possess proven knowledge of Biologics of different modalities and critical USP and DSP unit operations. Knowledge of Regulatory Affairs a plus.
  • Good understanding of the workflows and interactions between various departments at customers such as MSAT, manufacturing, validation, QA/QC, PD and regulatory affairs.

Base salary offered for the position is $95,000.00 - $140,000.00 depending on experience. (Salaries may vary depending on geographic differentials.)
