Responsibilities

What You'll Do

The Executive Assistant provides a high level of dedicated support to the Chief Labor Policy Officer. Responsibilities include: coordinating department projects, coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling, preparing for meetings, events and other commitments the CLPO is required to attend and supports the CLPO in the implementation of all related initiatives. In addition, this position will represent the CLPO in a professional and efficient manner to other industry executives, interacting with SAG-AFTRA elected leadership and union membership.

    Manages a broad range of administrative tasks and projects while prioritizing a complex calendar of executive and operational meetings, requiring significant coordination and follow up

  • Prepare executive level presentations, memos, spreadsheets, and other correspondence

  • May be required to attend special events and meetings

  • Responsible for follow up on actions requested by elected leaders and/or senior staff

  • Provide support to the CLPO for meetings and related events

  • Coordinate with internal leadership to prepare elected for events as needed

  • Assist with legislative and special events

  • Draft activation plans and social media posts around international initiatives

  • Ensure daily prioritization of communication, finding meeting space, and scheduling meetings over multiple time zones, while delivering on action items.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements

  • Order and maintain supplies for the department

  • Work with SAG-AFTRA staff in other departments to leverage information, expertise and industry connections for the achievement of the union's goals

  • Draft and distribute agendas and materials such as meeting notices and other supporting materials for Labor Policy, International Affairs, and Locals business

  • Manage unique and ongoing projects, supporting SAG-AFTRA initiatives

  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and track budget vs. actuals

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or comparable industry experience required.

  • Expert in G Suite including Google Slides, Sheets etc, PC applications and Internet-based systems.

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in an assistant position required.

  • Experience working with high profile individuals required.

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish, a plus
