About the Team:

The New Services team is part of the Technical Services team. The Technical Services team is a diverse team, with developers and testers in the US and India. Our mission as part of the New Services team is to create innovative solutions that enhance Medidata Products.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Technical Services

Responsibilities:

- Under general guidance and supervision of senior software engineering personnel, analyzes, designs, programs, unit tests, and debugs solutions to customize software to meet specific business needs

- Under general guidance and supervision of senior software engineering personnel develops and automates data integration processes from a variety of complex sources

- Under general guidance, analyzes business requirements, and uses professional concepts and Medidata's pre-existing software to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

- Performs code reviews from code written by other team members

- Coordination of development activities with the off-site team

- Management of assigned tasks and follow up on the tasks that require clarifications with relevant teams

- Provides status updates of on-going tasks to internal clients

- Provides daily updates of your tasks/projects, and proactively escalate issues to your Lead

- Ensures tasks are completed on-time with high quality standards

- Creates, maintains, and improves system integration documentation and processes

- Records and tracks defects uncovered during the execution of tests and actively participate in resolution

- Effectively manages multiple tasks, focusing on timely implementations while adapting as priorities shift

- Mentors and provide supervision and leadership to lower level developers

- Understands and keep abreast of latest Medidata Products, their functionality, and features

- Networks with key contacts within the delivery unit and outside their own area of expertise.

- Ensures that all relevant Medidata SOPs and WIs are followed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, which can be in the form of internships, externships, baccalaureate projects; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience

- Strong in Python programming language

- Strong in relational database systems (MS SQL or MySQL)

- Experience with AWS (S3 & RedShift) and PowerShell

- Experience with React

- Experience with Object Oriented Programming

- Experience in integration development with Files, RDBMS, and Web Services

- Familiarity with software development processes

- Familiarity with ETL

- Preferred experience with Clinical Trial software technology

  • Preferred experience with Medidata product suite (Rave EDC, Platform, RTSM, Coder, CTMS, ...)

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New Jersey. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New Jersey, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $79,500 to $106,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
