Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Data Controls Analyst with Risk, Audit, or Tech for an opportunity with a client located in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Managing Data Control Governance - Ensuring process controls, data validation activities, and measurement processes remain timely and relevant
• Create and maintain required documentation and evidence
• Analysis of datasets and the ability to find patters and conclusions within the data
• Business analysis should work under minimal supervision that require creative solutions and, possibly, automated solutions
• Support and partner with teams across the enterprise
• Support and contribute to data collection efforts, as needed
• Verify data quality to ensure accurate analysis and reporting
• Help identify the business data needed to produce the most useful insights and future analytics
• Utilize data to make actionable recommendations at all levels
• Develop and execute a regional business plan aligning with program goals
• Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to the broader team
• Monitor data management processes to ensure data quality and consistency
• Hire, coach and develop field to exceed customer expectations
• Monitor system performance, data integrity and usage metrics
• Contribute to data dictionary, standards, training, and ongoing updates

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree / or equivalent work experience
• Experience analyzing data, either in finance or another data control environment
• Ability to map out steps in a process or program, and determine a path for execution on those steps
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be creative, and be able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities skills needed to perform complex data analysis
• Must possess very strong communication skills with teammates and leadership
• Ability to create management-ready presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to addressing issues
• Strongly prefer a candidate with advanced knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI; Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Power Point) including advanced Data Visualization skills and Excel
