The Senior Manager, Total Rewards reports to the Vice President, People and will function as a senior advisor, responsible for management of benefits and non-executive compensation programs. You will partner with HR leadership on total rewards strategy and execute that strategy across salary, bonus, commission, equity, retirement and benefits programs, including wellness and leaves. The ideal candidate is a thought partner on the design and execution of scalable total rewards programs that make sense for our employee population.

What you'll do...

  • Maintain knowledge of compensation and benefits trends, best practices, and regulatory changes applicable to salary transparency and benefits compliance; advise leadership on necessary changes to policies and practices.
  • Administer leave programs, including short-term disability, long-term disability, Family Medical Leave, Parental Leave, and other leaves of absence
  • Manage self-funded and fully insured health, dental and vision insurance plans, tracking utilization trends, claims issues, on-going funding
  • Execute benefits compliance program, including all required reporting and submissions (5500, PCORI, ACA, HIPAA, 1095, and other state reporting)
  • Audit leave payments and pre-tax elections throughout the year for accuracy
  • Manage annual open enrollment process, including communications, information sessions, HRIS set-up, and vendor reporting
  • Draft other benefits-related communications
  • Administer wellness program and other well-being initiatives
  • Regularly audit compensation and leveling data; assist with annual 401(k) audit
  • Manage total comp changes related to annual performance review and promotion processes
  • Complete benchmarking surveys and provide benchmarking data as part of total compensation analyses
  • Monitor all relevant state compliance mandates and ensure accurate and timely responses to new and existing requirements
  • Draft all Handbook updates related to compensation and benefits policies and practices
  • Partner with HR leadership to design and implement comprehensive and forward-thinking total rewards programs that improve Progyny's employer value proposition and elevate the employee experience
  • Manage systems and processes related to compensation strategy and design, benefits administration, and leave administration

About you...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Strong acumen in HR information systems, including experience with custom reporting
  • Demonstrated expertise with benefits compliance laws applicable to a multi-state employer
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and presentations skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Broad knowledge of compensation strategies, benefits trends, and competitive total rewards offerings
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Workday HRIS
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage evolving priorities, multiple projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $115,000 - $130,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
