BNY Mellon's Data and Analytics further extend Asset Servicing capabilities in securities and cash into the world's most important 'asset class,' data. As a software and content business, the solutions cover Data Management, Accounting, Performance as part of a Cloud Native platform to accelerate data insights & solutions

Position Summary:

Responsible for establishing and coordinating business operations across all of Data & Analytics efforts related to BNY Mellon; as a Client, Partner, and Stakeholder positioning Growth Ventures to provide best-in-class service and offerings across strategic projects throughout the BNY Mellon organization. Independently develops the strategic plan for managing and growing existing internal relationships, with a focus on product adoption, revenue retention, revenue growth and client reference ability. Serves in a consultative role to BNY Mellon leadership, advising on the best way to leverage Growth Ventures Data & Analytics solutions to achieve short- and long- term strategic objectives. Has developed significant expertise on industry trends, competitor services/offerings and clients' business environment. As the "client" advocate, is an experienced leader who has the "sphere of influence" to bring the Growth Ventures organization to BNY Mellon Business lines and their strategic clients to drive Data & Analytics' portfolio of product and services.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring that critical elements of BNY Mellon's relationship & dependencies with Data & Analytics products are understood and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Establish organizational model and practices to execute/deliver and support business objectives, scope, resources, work streams and expectations of BNY Mellon's Business lines.
  • Ensure cross-organizational alignment within Data & analytics in support of BNY Mellon Business lines commitments globally.
  • Responsible for:
    • Formulating a comprehensive business plan charting a multi-year, multi-phase initiative
    • Measuring relationship status and progress on key objectives
    • Monitoring established financial goals of ongoing initiatives with BNY Mellon
    • Establishing service level agreements between parties (internal/external) that outline responsibilities and benefits.
    • Educating BNY Mellon on Data & Analytics product offerings and capabilities allowing them to leverage our products
    • Establishing a communications plan and escalation between Data & Analytics and BNY Mellon's business lines senior leadership.
    • Overall Program Management supporting various opportunities, projects, and initiatives (internal/external) designed to further define and expand the Data & Analytics footprint within BNY Mellon, monitoring progress, communicating status, and managing expectations.
  • Act as internal/external escalation point for portfolio of BNY Mellon Business units leveraging Data and Analytics solutions.
  • Promotes firm services/product offerings that solve client challenges and achieve account growth. May evaluate and structure deal (pricing, contract terms, etc.) to determine the optimal terms within BNY Mellon.
  • Continually evaluate internal client needs and ensure sustained client engagement.
  • Provide clients with industry expertise sharing trends as well as current and potential impact on the client business model.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to remain visible in the market and remain current on industry trends and competitor services/offerings.
  • Assess risk levels across BNY Mellon business lines and develop action plans for client retention.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 15+ years in Relationship Management, Sales, Client Service, or Account Management in Financial Services industry with focus on investment managers and fund companies
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Has developed significant expertise on industry trends, competitor services/offerings and client's business environment.



BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $350,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
