The Role

We're looking for a Senior Consultant, Insurance Consulting who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, you will analyze our insurance clients' business and technology challenges and build creative solutions to drive transformation. You will be responsible for participating in the requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with clients and team members, and building industry and domain expertise. Specifically, as a Business Analyst, you have the opportunity to deliver immediate value to clients by working with a project-based team of consultants.

This role is for a Senior Business Analyst who will partner with our customers to assess and document business requirements, functional specifications and is knowledgeable in P&C insurance domain and can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Exercise responsibility for one or more components of a consulting engagement for a client.
  • Support or drive data-driven identification and analysis of solution requirement.
  • Facilitate workshops with clients to elicit requirements as the basis for creating business requirements documents and user stories.
  • Will independently ensure that the quality of a developed product has met the acceptance criteria for client delivery by providing in-depth knowledge of approved business and testing requirements, P&C Insurance domain.
  • Monitor solution quality compliance to standards and conduct or facilitate structured solution walkthroughs.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and issue tracking / resolution.
  • Support solution change or enhancement requests.
  • Prepare and deliver solution training workshops and collateral for clients.
  • Perform other project tasks as needed, such as competitive research, storyline development, and report preparation (e.g., acceptance, QA).
  • Develop a profound understanding of the Cognizant way, productive project collaboration skills and practice deliverables, collegial support and information-sharing practices, and exquisite client sensibilities.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group to include executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders to determine priorities and critical path items necessary to achieve defined objectives according to plan.
  • Ability to lead daily stand-up meetings for BA/Tech/QA team members if team size requires.
  • Ability to provide expert guidance in the understanding of the insurance product and business needs of the customer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to generate and deliver informative and well-organized presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate with a cross-geo business and technical team when nonstandard requirements / customization requests are identified to provide alternative business solutions and work arounds to meet the client's needs.
  • Ability to assist with program management activities such as Identification of project risks and collaborate with the team to implement mitigation plans that follow through to risk closure.
  • Collaborate with team members (business, technical, quality) to ensure clarity and understanding of the business requirements, success criteria and outcomes desired by the client.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience in technology consulting, professional services, or solution development projects within the Insurance industry.
  • Previous work experience within an Agile or similarly organized environment
  • Experience with a range of business process modeling and improvement, quality assurance, software development life cycle (SDLC), and agile project management (JIRA) tools.
  • Business Analysis skills - user story creation etc.,
  • Insurance Domain knowledge - P&C
  • Hands on experience to build process maps and functional requirements.
  • Ability to work with a team of BAs across shores and manage the requirements delivery.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 5/17/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $95,000.00 to $130,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
