About the Team

Operations has a diverse set of responsibilities, including settling and recording thousands of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risk, and partnering with technology to develop and implement low touch, streamlined processes. The operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new business, structures, and markets.

The Role

We are looking to hire a full-time Associate to join the Trade Management team within Trading Operations. The primary responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Post trade processing including allocation, matching, confirmation, and reconciliation for a wide array of financial products, with focus on equity and FX, and knowledge of OTC derivative products such as IRS, CDS, synthetic futures etc.
  • Manage daily T and T+1 trade activity via vendor middleware platforms including IceLink, Markitwire, Omgeo/CTM, Traiana, as well as proprietary systems.
  • Agree to and book wires to settle realized OTC PL with bilateral counterparties
  • Review foreign currency balances and suggest FX repatriation trades.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external interested parties, such as PMs, compliance, finance, brokers, custodians, and administrators.
  • Coordinate with AQR Operations support teams in India and the Philippines.
  • Coordinate with engineering to spec and test system enhancements for new mandates, structures, or regulations.
  • Current knowledge of regulatory landscape affecting security settlements such as T+1 settlement cycles.
  • Onboard new accounts into existing Trade Management systems

What You'll Bring

  • Undergraduate Degree.
  • 3-7 years of experience in a securities settlement role at a bank or investment manager.
  • Superior analytical and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task, and eager to learn.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel/SQL.
  • Mind set of continual process enhancement and automation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace, team-based environment.

The salary range for this role is expected to be $100,000 - $120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs. This wage range may also be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
