Position Summary

The search engine optimization (SEO) manager is responsible for helping KINESSO clients improve their visibility in organic search results. The SEO manager is responsible for helping KINESSO clients improve organic visibility wherever search results are presented (e.g. Google, Bing, YouTube, App Store). This role develops, implements, and manages SEO campaigns for our Fortune 1000 client roster. The job includes a great deal of client contact and cross-team collaboration among teams such as marketing, web development, web design, content production, mobile, social media, and public relations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee technical site analysis, competitive analysis, and content strategy
  • Manage senior analysts and help analysts grow into the next level of their career
  • Translate clients' business goals and marketing objectives into successful search engine optimization strategies
  • Plan site structure and website content strategy
  • Develop ongoing client dashboards and reports that yield qualitative and quantitative trends
  • Establish and maintain project management processes to manage multiple SEO projects at once
  • Work with cross-functional departments to develop and track all details of SEO initiatives
  • Collaborate with paid search to feed SEO findings into broader online and offline media strategy
  • Share new developments within the team and thereby enable superior service to our clients
  • Offer guidance, support, and direction as well as provide development opportunities and ongoing feedback
  • Ensure direct reports have received access to and training on research and reporting platforms to excel in their roles
  • Support and drive corporate culture initiatives
  • Ability to be the main point of content for your brands in regard to SEO strategy
  • Provide ongoing and actionable feedback to Analyst & Sr. Analysts within all relevant work streams. Responsible for providing growth opportunities to junior team members and fostering their career development.
  • Develop POVs on the various SEO/Search tools, news, and trends relevant to the client portfolio and share these within the larger KINESSO SEO team
  • Project manage most, if not all, tasks within your clients' workload and scope to complete scope
  • Work with creative and development teams to ensure proper implementation of SEO recommendations
  • Collaborate with other channels to feed SEO findings into broader online and offline media strategy

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO or digital marketing
  • Solid grasp of how search engines work as well as core SEO and SEM tenets
  • Understanding of the strengths of SEO platforms (e.g. BrightEdge, Conductor, Searchmetrics, Moz, Screaming Frog) and when to consult web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Webtrends) instead
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, particularly in the area of explaining technical concepts to those in non-technical roles
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Specific technical web experience, such as expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of website design and development
  • Experience training/managing team member a plus

The salary range for this position is posted below.
