Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Senior Manager, Opportunity Development, the Opportunity Development Specialist is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the HHS Opportunity Development program, including achievement of key performance metrics, SLAs and bookings goals. This role is responsible for HHS customer/prospect engagements through multiple channels, to facilitate introductions to the sales team and convert leads to opportunities. The Opportunity Development Specialist plays a critical role in qualifying new and expansion inbound leads, achieving outbound client engagement and building quality sales pipeline.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce), Definitive, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn and other automation tools to research and engage prospects in target accounts and markets.
  • Work closely with HHS commercial team to identify key targets and personas/titles with goal of engaging C-suite decision-makers.
  • Perform immediate and continuous outreach to prospects via email, phone and other channels (i.e. LinkedIn) while meeting or exceeding all service level agreements.
  • Conduct thorough and professional discovery calls to prospects, utilizing BANT qualification criteria.
  • Schedule meetings for sales and/or facilitate professional introduction calls between qualified leads and sales. Ensure a qualified sales advance outcome per meeting.
  • Document relevant meeting notes in CRM and send to sales.
  • Utilize email templates for introduction, discovery and ending communications to prospective customers and contacts.
  • Carefully track converted/supported opportunities in SFDC for accurate KPI attribution.
  • Generate monthly performance reports for leadership and bi-weekly/quarterly reports for Client Strategy/Success Team.
  • Adhere to playbooks, procedures and processes for ultimate team performance.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with field sales, marketing, market leaders, international, partner success and other internal stakeholders.
  • Act as liaison to marketing ops team and Teladoc's external partners.
  • Support virtual and on-site client events as requested.
  • Work cross functionally to deploy internal strategies, positioning and support for the HHS team.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements/Preferences
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and organizing workflow to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possesses listening skills that allow for effective customer and team communications.
  • Able to track key performance metrics, ensure achievement of SLAs and corporate objectives.
  • Systems/process oriented. Ability to oversee/drive a project from start to finish.
  • Strong work ethic and results oriented disposition. Tenacious, and driven to succeed.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment. Ability to function through ambiguity.
  • Works well with team members and cross-departmentally.
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Education Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a high tech (SaaS) environment and/or health care environment preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and objectives.
  • Previous customer-facing experience required. BDR/inside sales experience preferred.
  • Disciplined organizational skills and record keeping in CRM systems (salesforce.com experience preferred). SalesLoft and ZoomInfo experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000K-$80,000K. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
