What You Will Do:

The AVP will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you will interact with Global Paris based partners and cross-functional US team to maintain the high-end luxury YSL & Armani image; ensuring visual standards are continuously elevated, and design solutions answer to the strategic business goals. The AVP will develop consumer centric design solutions for both 2D Creative programs & 3D Visual Merchandising as well as oversee the visual expression of the brand in-store. He/She is responsible for meeting operational deliverables in the timeline, adhering to cost conscious design, streamlining communication and processes throughout the development process. This would include, but would not be limited to, the following accountabilities:


Key Accountabilities:

  • Close partnership with global team to ensure correct brand expression is maintained, for a high-end luxury brand for all instore execution.
  • Sephora merchandising; animate & update the Sephora open sell gondola ensuring the design is competitive and answers to a strategic business objective.
  • Ensure perfect Visual merchandising for the following Distribution: Department Stores, Specialty Stores, Open Sell environments; Including the creation of all merchandising Directives and planograms
  • Develop and adapt Visual collateral for all new launches/ seasonal and or Holiday displays and temporary store environments that answer to the marketing strategy, and fit across the above-mentioned distribution
  • Printing collateral, Pre press, including mechanical and dies for printing process, color proofing and matching
  • Manage a team (Manager and freelance) and key external agencies along with associated creative budget responsibilities.

Required Competencies and Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to master retail design fundamentals; decodes brand identity, master products and market insights; follows trends and understands competition
  • Strives to deliver operational excellence; aligned with market specificities to ensure high standard of quality in POS material
  • Ability to communicate clearly, and effectively across multiple departments
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a strong team environment; contribute ideas, be persuasive/defend design solutions whilst remaining flexible and open to other points of view
  • Superior organizational skills; handle multiple projects, and ability to adjust to pressing priorities
  • Strong visual merchandising background


What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar
  • 10+ Years of Experience in visual Merchandising
  • Sephora, Specialty and Department store retailer experience
  • Job Specific Experience/Skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Excel and Microsoft office/ PowerPoint.
  • High level of Creativity / high functioning communicator
