Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an advanced software engineer for Submarine Combat Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for delivering advanced mission capabilities to the US and Australian submarine forces.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: software development (C++/Java), Kubernetes, Linux w/ Command Line, Ansible.

  • Superior Red Hat/CentOS Linux skills
  • Extenisve experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration/PaaS/Cloud technologies
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success
  • Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
  • Certifications: one or more of Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Admin (CKA), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Workplace Options:

Target salary range: USD $118,272.00/Yr. - USD $131,208.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
