Overview

Pharming is seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Sourcing (Procurement)to develop procurement strategies for categories, including but not limited to Marketing, Medical Affairs & Patient Services.Our goal is to have the role implement the category strategy, sourcing process in collaboration with stakeholder as well as lead the supplier management process. Successful execution will involve building strong internal and external relationships in partnership with the business. This is an individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Sourcing (Procurement) will be responsible for a wide variety of matters in support of Pharming's growth as we increase the number of both pipeline and marketed products.

Core functions include:

  • Developing, implementing, and controlling Procurement methodologies and processes according to Procurement policies.
  • Partnering with the business to follow sourcing process and ensure compliance.
  • Providing guidance to the business on defining requirements to ensure a fair and competitive sourcing process.
  • Developing and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with suppliers across the different categories (e.g., Marketing, Medical Affairs & Patient Services).
  • Leading sourcing & contract management together with internal stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining a strong internal network.
  • Recommending and implementing, in collaboration with the global procurement team, new initiatives.
  • Leading projects in relevant functional areas and/or participating in high complex cross-departmental projects.
  • This is a hybrid role; must be able to report to the Warren office, 2 to 3 days per week.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or similar field; MBA is a plus.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Sourcing/Procurement or any other similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry is preferred.
  • Highly skilled in category management RFP process, contract negotiations, benchmarking and contract management is required.
  • ERP (SAP) working knowledge is a plus.
  • Highly skilled in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work autonomously within a global organization is required.
  • Travel required (<10% expected).
