Experience and Education
  • Masters, or doctorate from accredited program in Speech Pathology.
  • New graduates are welcome. Licensed to practice Speech Pathology in state of Texas
  • Active CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required.
Job Duties
  • Demonstrates knowledge of therapeutic principles and practices good clinical judgement and does not compromise patient's or another's safety, while at same time maximizes patient's treatment potential.
  • Identifies and records problem areas on evaluation. Projects reasonable goals with realistic time frames. Analyzes and designs treatment plans based on patient problems and goals. Determines if planned treatment is effective and progresses patient in timely fashion.
  • Prepares for patient discharge in organized and effective manner. Displays good knowledge of patient's resources and needs. Records patient's progress in concise, accurate, and timely manner. Organizes patient treatment time and unscheduled time efficiently.
  • Assists willingly in coverage of other patients. Assists in on-job training, education, and supervision of therapy technicians, students, and/or nursing.
  • Performs other related duties assigned.
