About the Role

Ogilvy New York is searching for a Social Media Analyst - someone who loves connecting social data with business results, to help steer the direction for our clients.

What You'll Do

  • Strategically analyze content performance to help inform how we optimize creative and our strategic approach
  • Benchmarking to gauge performance over time and throughout campaign timelines
  • Work closely with your teams to develop measurement plans, establishing brand goals and KPIs
  • Social listening to uncover insights that strategists can use to inspire creative teams to develop award-winning work
  • Audience analysis that contributes to persona development, illuminating who it is we're targeting
  • Convey the story the data is telling, taking numbers to insights and walking teams through findings in a narrative way
  • Co-own and support the development of data products as new offerings across our portfolio of brands
  • Contribute to thought leadership in the Data & Analytics space, helping to establish Ogilvy's authority in the world of Cultural Intelligence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Strategy, Influence, PR, Media, and Creative to help translate and visualize complex data sets into clearly articulated insights
  • Dive into a mix of raw data from native social media channels and outputs from third-party and proprietary analytics and listening tools, synthesizing the most salient learnings, tying insights back to business results
  • Make an impact across multiple client accounts and simultaneous asks, appropriately and strategically prioritizing and deprioritizing as needed, communicating delivery timelines with teams

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years of professional experience using Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, Sprinklr, and similar tools.
  • Proven skill in extracting insights and visualizing learnings from large, technical data sets, and communicating recommendations to varied audiences including senior leadership and academics in a clear and concise way.
  • Ability to work with multiple cross-functional partners simultaneously, and conversely, leading projects independently.
  • Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about complex projects, developing thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
  • Proven ability to learn technical skills independently and proactively. Think: certifications, bootcamps, trainings, and the like.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred relating to digital marketing, business analytics, marketing analytics, CIS and similar.

Please be prepared to share a portfolio of work. This can include dashboards, reporting templates, insights included in a creative brief, and examples you feel showcase your skills best.

The compensation for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $45,000$90,000 USD
