This position is responsible for supervising tasks for the Maintenance Mechanics assisting the asst. Director of plant operations for the overall daily operations of the maintenance shop. This position provides oversight for the following tasks: Maintaining the medical gas system. Maintaining all aspects of the plumbing system. Maintaining mechanical systems and performing maintenance service under his or her jurisdiction and provides supervisory guidance to those workers assigned. Ordering material as needed ,maintain stock and schedule work assignments. May be part of the emergency response team and or snow removal team. May perform duties and responsibilities at locations separated from the medical center as necessary and all other duties as required.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Supervisor, Maintenance at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

• Provides oversight for repairs of kitchen equipment, sterilizers, steam equipment and medical gas system. Orders materials. Schedules projects and corrective maintenance.
• Provides overall supervision and assistance to any work group assigned.
• Works from blueprints, sketches, diagrams or verbal instructions.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
• Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in the mechanical field
• High school and/or vocational school diploma preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred in building maintenance
