About Your Role:

Health is looking for an experienced, creative, and analytical Senior Social Media Editor to join our team and contribute to growing our audiences and brand on social platforms.

As the Senior Social Media Editor, you play a critical role in the development of a robust social presence and oversee daily publishing to our social channels- driving brand awareness, increasing traffic, growing our audience, and creating an engaged community. You are a digitally-savvy content enthusiast with a passion for all things health and wellness, with a background in creating and producing social videos.

The right candidate will have experience creating social videos and static graphics, and has an understanding of the health landscape. They'll be able to conceptualize and execute a plan for growing our social accounts using smart content creation and curation, including promoting existing content, and creating their own.

About Your Contributions:

  • Drive the strategy for a cohesive social presence by promoting our best content on Health's Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Flipboard, TikTok, and Twitter accounts

  • Partner with editorial teams and Chief Medical Officer to launch and manage creative social campaigns that support on-site content and larger brand initiatives

  • Serve as the face of the brand on social videos, and partner with editors and site contributors to create engaging original videos

  • Write compelling, social-friendly, impeccable copy for evergreen and news content that reflects our brand voice and values

  • Track, analyze, and report data and insights on our growth and engagement to support all strategic decisions

  • Audit existing social presence, competitor market, and evaluate trends to inform and build a targeted strategy for growth

  • Manage the Social Media Coordinator

About You:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience working as a social media professional or community manager for a brand or publication (a strong personal social presence is a plus)

  • Strong graphic design and video editing skills, preferably familiar with Canva, Kapwing, Adobe Premiere or Capcut

  • Journalism/editorial background strongly preferred

  • Proactive, creative, flexible team player with a good sense of humor and entrepreneurial spirit, able to roll with the punches and take ownership of responsibilities in a fluid and fast-moving environment

  • 2+ years of management experience

  • Passionate about all things health and wellness and always eager to share and learn more

  • Expert-level proficiency with writing, editing, and curation of content for brands on social networks such as TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Flipboard and other emerging social platforms

  • Experience with social media schedulers and analytics tools preferred (ex. Dash Hudson, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, True Anthem, etc.)

  • Ability to accurately interpret social analytics and report to senior management

  • Process- and detail-oriented and deadline-focused

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in social media or communications a major plus

Pay Range

Salary: $64,050 - $91,500

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
