Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for aGas and Electric Operations Managerto join our Information Technology Business and Customer SolutionsTeam, located in Houston, TX.

You will have the ability to:provides high-level technical support and direction for all aspects of the SAP PM/SM & PS modules, the Hitachi Service Suite solution and Itron FCS system as they relate to business processes development. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of business and change programs for all system landscapes; which includes gathering requirements, technical research, backend and frontend development, quality assurance, deployment, maintenance and support for all components of the system landscapes as well as integration with non-SAP applications.

This position guides the implementation of solutions and products through effective utilization of internal and external IT resources and leads ad-hoc work teams comprised of subject matter experts, developers and business team members at various levels in the organization to ensure deliverables and business requirements are met through defined best programming standards and conventions and support the Company's short and long-term strategic roadmap.

We will be seeking a qualified candidate who has hands on SAP EAM functional expertise. The candidate should also have familiarity of the Hitachi Service Suite and Itron applications. The successful candidate is required to have experience in areas he or she will supervise.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain and optimize the current SAP EAM, Service Suite and Itron solutions.
  • Strategically plan and lead the transition to S/4 migration
  • Strategically plan and lead the divestiture & acquisition initiatives for the respective teams
  • Integrate systems with other critical data platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Implement and manage diverse solutions, both on premise and cloud (if applicable).
  • Provide comprehensive technical support for systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors for effective problem resolution and to stay informed on the latest technological advancements.
  • Customize systems to support automated business processes and decision-making.
  • Lead and develop a team of ERP/Data Analysts to achieve project goals and enhance business processes.
  • Monthly forecasting for internal resources and projects as well as annual planning and budgets.
  • Regularly report on system performance, project progress, and strategic initiatives to the IT Director.
Education Description
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or Computer Science from an accredited university
Experience
  • At least 15-20 years of relevant SAP experience in a professional services environment, with a utility background or a consulting firm serving as an internal consultant within industry.
  • Supervisory experience
  • SAP certification
  • Project Management experience
  • Deep expertise with the SAP solution portfolio for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM, PM/SM and PS)
  • SAP implementation experience within Utility industry
  • Hands-on functional configuration and design experience with SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
  • Participation in all phases of at least 2 SAP EAM greenfield implementations
Experience continued
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills; professional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of SAP and Agile methodologies
  • System Testing and IT Implementation
  • S/4 Hana implementation experience
  • Experience with and passion for implementing change and continual improvement
  • Demonstrated fluency in utility business processes
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
  • Ability to travel as needed
