Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position
The Division of University Advancement seeks an Assistant Director of Annual Giving who will be responsible for Student Philanthropy and call center programs.

The Assistant Director will be charged with developing and implementing a strategic comprehensive development plan that will educate students on the importance of philanthropy, especially annual giving, and encourage participation through yearly giving.

In addition, the Assistant Director will raise annual dollars to support the university's greatest needs.

The Division of University Advancement is one of seven administrative divisions at North Carolina A&T State University. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Must have minimum of two years of fundraising experience in higher education or a non-profit organization, or previous work experience in a call center.

Knowledge of annual giving benchmarks, best practices, and appropriate solicitation techniques.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Bachelor's degree with at least three years of fundraising experience in higher education or non-profit organization.

Demonstrated ability to use creativity and best practices to improve and grow student and young alumni giving.

A high degree of professionalism, great interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of students, alumni, colleagues, and volunteers.

Effective organizational, customer service, and communication skills, both oral and written, with keen attention to detail.

Possess strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with donor database software; Raisers Edge preferred.
Required License or Certification
