JOB DESCRIPTION

The Private Credit Product Strategist is a strategy, and client-facing role focused on developing PIMCO's suite of private credit products. The position requires true asset class expertise and familiarity with a broad spectrum of investment approaches, underlying markets, and fund structures.

While responsibilities are varied, it is expected that the Product Strategist will focus efforts in the following areas:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This individual will work with groups across the firm to lead the growth of PIMCO's private credit platform, spanning asset-based and corporate credit strategies
  • Partner with business leaders and credit investment teams across PIMCO to develop a business strategy, develop new products that marry PIMCO investment capabilities with detailed knowledge about global investor demand, and to service existing business.
  • Serve as a proxy for portfolio managers in speaking to clients and consultants about PIMCO's private credit strategies
  • Confidence, competence and assertiveness working in a team environment with a range of highly intelligent, professionally driven and results-oriented professionals.
  • Developed leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to inspire the team to meet or exceed high standards.
  • Capable of articulating complex ideas, both verbally and in writing, clearly and in a straightforward manner.
  • High emotional intelligence and tactful low-ego nature in order to work with the firm's internal stakeholders to ensure the business is executing on plan.
  • Articulates priorities and ensures management focus, alignment and accountability around addressing set priorities.
  • Fits into PIMCO and adapts to the firm's culture, bringing an appropriate level of credibility and gravitas to the platform.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The successful candidate will have ~5+ years of professional experience, and an impressive performance track record as a capital raiser, investor, advisor or business development professional; experience with a variety of private credit strategies
  • The Product Strategist will have a track record of successfully engaging with institutional and/or wealth management private credit investors
  • This professional will have industry knowledge and strong technical acumen, with an understanding of the credit capital markets along with familiarity with various asset types and fund structures
  • The qualified candidate will bring the following:
  • Exceptional communication skills required, with experience speaking credibly and clearly with regard to credit investing relative to other asset classes.
  • Previous work experience within investment management preferred but not required.
  • Excellent presentation skills coupled with polished written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Intelligence, a low-ego and an extremely driven and team-oriented collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures, functions and geographies.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Salary Range: $ 175,000.00 - $ 250,000.00
