Job Overview/Summary:
The Budget Manager sits within IRC's Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI) Budget Office which supports programming and field offices that serves refugees, asylum seekers and other types of newcomers. The RAI/US currently has a network of 27 Resettlement offices and 3 RAI Offices for Refugees.

The Budget Manager is a key member of our growing Budget Office team. She/he is responsible for managing select field office and/or RAI HQ departments budgeting cycles in her/his portfolio. She/he is accountable for preparing and providing budget review and analysis as well as technical support for various budget schedules.
Working with Finance Managers in the assigned portfolio, the Budget Manager ensures timely and accurate entry of grant budgets into the Integra (Microsoft Dynamics) system that are aligned with the offices' operating budgets.

Major Responsibilities:
* Serve as primary contact for assigned portfolio, providing financial analysis, technical support and guidance as it relates to the IRC operational budget exercise.
* Support budget creation, budget projections and analysis of expenses as needed both for RAI/US Field Offices and HQ operations.
* Work with the Program and Finance teams to streamline internal financial reports and reporting processes to deliver more efficient, more effective, and more useful reports and analysis.
* Prepare, review, and distribute RAI HQ operations monthly reports with assigned program team and others. Document and address issues requiring attention and/or further discussion.
* Provide training to staff on budget management processes and systems
* In collaboration with other team members, ensure that services are delivered efficiently, effectively and in a courteous and timely way.
* Other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Budget & Planning, RAI and Deputy Director of Budget & Planning, RAI
* Support internal and donor monitoring for financial matters, including addressing donor requests for support documentations, files, policies, and procedures clarification, etc.

Job Requirements:
This position requires a critical eye, solid analytical skills, advanced skills in Excel and excellent attention to detail. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of budgeting and financial analysis experience -preferably in non-profits.
-Bachelor's degree required.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
-Advanced skills in MS Excel, data visualization and use of databases.
-Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing in a motivational manner.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.
* Strong analytic problem-solving skills
* Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

Compensation:
Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
