What You'll Do

So, about those hats. There are a lot of them, but they're fun to wear, and you look great in them. Here's a peek at what you'll get to do when you suit up as a Manheim Dealer Service Specialist II:

  • You'll work directly with customer onsite, via email & phone to ensure expectations are met and service issues are resolved
  • You'll develop and manage relationships with internal and external business partners, and you'll assist with auction operations from start to finish, right up to notifying customers of the latest news.
  • You'll assist with the coordination and execution of sale day activities.
  • You'll input vital vehicle info into the Application System /400 and database.
  • You'll establish, update, verify, and maintain vehicle and pricing files.
  • You'll team up with our title department to ensure that titles and other must-have documents are in hand for each vehicle before the auction.
  • You'll use your eagle eye for details to manage vehicle inventory reports, investigate errors, and verify sale eligibility.
  • You'll partner with departments to prepare and notify customers of the sale run process.
  • You'll follow up on sale vehicle prep and contact appropriate partners for missing info and issues to ensure smooth auction operations.
  • You'll serve as initial contact for buyers and sellers
  • You'll provide administrative/clerical support, and assist with special projects, admin support, and graphics requests.
  • Identify sold units and facilitate transactions through completion to include but not limited to the following:
    • Monitor notifications generated online (e.g., purchase confirmation).
    • Confirm availability and location of vehicle (and title) at the time of sale.
    • Generate and maintain required documentation for all transactions (e.g., Auction Bill of Sale, Gate Release).
    • Work with manager to ensure a consistent and effective online and in-lane customer experience, appropriate transaction processing, high customer satisfaction and service levels.
    • Reviews vehicles in sales line-up, locates missing vehicles, and works with customers and operations to ensure that vehicles are prepared for sale (i.e., approval for repairs, frame checks, mileage, and VIN check).
    • Coordinates with Recon shops to ensure that repairs are completed in a timely manner.
    • Works closely with vehicle check-in and lot operations to ensure all work is completed on dealer vehicles (i.e., recon, inspections, details, etc.).
    • Work with lot operations and quadrant coordinators to ensure appropriate scanning and organization of account vehicles.
    • Review vehicles in sale line up, locate missing vehicles, and work with account representative to ensure vehicles are ready for sale.
    • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Who You Are / Qualifications

Minimum:

Position requires great communication and customer service skills. Ability to multi task in a high-performance, fast paced team environment with strong attention to details.

  • 4 years of experience in a related field (e.g. Customer Service Industry, Auction Experience, Working with Car Dealerships, Sales); or a High school diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a related field; or an AS/AA degree, BS/BA degree or certification in a related discipline Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, receptive to change and able to multitask.
  • Prior clerical or administrative experience required, including ability to work in multiple systems
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service required.
  • Must be able to operate adding machines and other office equipment (i.e., copier, fax machine, etc.). Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.


USD 17.40 - 26.06 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $17.40 - $26.06/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
