The spacecraft mechanisms facility in Chatsworth, California includes a fully integrated engineering/design, manufacturing, and test capability. Moog spacecraft products are flexible to meet customer requirements for a wide breadth of applications ranging from commercial to government flight programs.

Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Laboratory Technician to join them. You will report to the A&T Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Chatsworth, CA.

To be considered for the Laboratory Technician, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

* High school GED or equivalent

* 2 years or more experience in electro-mechanical testing.

* A working knowledge of basic electronics.

* Ability to utilize power supplies, digital volt meters, data loggers, oscilloscopes, strip chart recorders, counters, and stepper motor controllers.

* Knowledge of transducers, such torque transducers, encoders and thermal couples.

* Ability to operate thermal cycling chambers and thermal vacuum chambers.

* Mechanical ability to assemble mechanical test setups.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will:

* Independently perform qualification tests and acceptance tests.

* Maintain test logbooks, in a neat and organized manner.

* Assemble test setups, both mechanical and electronic.

* Pump down, monitor, and be responsible for the operation of thermal cycling and thermal vacuum chambers. Including the working with liquid nitrogen.

* Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.

Physical Requirements for this role:

* While performing the duties of this job, you regularly sit, stand, walk, talk or hear and use hands.

* Frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; Candidate must pass a required on-site Vision Screening Examination

* Must frequently lift and or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range:

Pay range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $80,000, annually.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
