Responsibilities

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in software development and networking for full-time positions in our network system group. Candidates will work with teams to research, conceive, and develop prototypes as well as operational software. Candidates should be adept at identifying successful approaches to complex problems. Projects will involve a mix of research and development and will range from applied research to advanced prototyping to development, verification, and certification of operational software. This position will be full-time at a customer facility. The ideal candidate will be one who is able to collaborate as part of a dynamic customer, Peraton Labs, and subcontractor team as well as execute work independently.

This position requires full time on-site work in College Park, Maryland.

Qualifications

Education: 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD

Required skills:

    Ability to program in Python (or similar languages)
  • Strong Linux systems skills

Desired additional skills:

  • Experience utilizing 4G/5G telecom equipment (BBUs, 4G/5G core networks, IMS)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience performing test automation
  • Experience with complex multi-system, cloud-native configuration management systems
  • Experience working with network equipment (routers/switches)
  • Experience working with complex network configurations (VLANs, multi-cluster, multi-protocol)
  • Experience with hardware clusters and associated virtualization management (Proxmox, OpenStack, etc)

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
