The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Columbia University Program in Physical Therapy is seeking a collaborative individual with a strong work ethic for a staff orthopedic physical therapist resident position in a vibrant Academic Physical Therapy Faculty Practice. This individual should strive for clinical excellence and patient-centered compassionate care.

The mission of this faculty practice is to provide the best clinical practice, facilitate professional development among the physical therapy clinical and academic faculty of the future, and foster a collegial learning environment for clinicians, residents, and physical therapy students.

Responsibilities

This energetic and team-oriented individual will:

  • Provide clinical care to patients with a broad range of diagnoses.
  • Efficiently execute all professional duties.
  • Remain current with emerging evidence and skills in the pursuit of life-long learning.
  • Invest in collaborative clinical practice.
  • Communicate with respect and compassion.
  • Participate in the Columbia University Programs in Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency Training Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
  • Must be eligible for PT licensure in New York State.
  • Applied for Orthopedic PT Residency Program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed or eligible to practice in New York
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • BCLS Certified
  • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association
