Wieland is hiring a Copperbond Operator. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined (Steel, copper, and metals industry preferred). This role will reside in our Waterbury, CT facility.

Starting Pay: $25.90 per hour with shift differential

Schedule: 2nd shift (3pm- 11pm) and 3rd shift available

Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly

Responsibilities

Copperbond Operator Responsibilities:

    Comply with all safety rules and regulations
  • Follow PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and JSP (Job Safety Practice) documents
  • Read, understand, and follow all work instructions specific to the equipment
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Start up and shutdown line including on and off line solutions
  • Detect and report quality issues, faulty operations, improper material and unusual conditions
  • Record and log all operating data using formulas, production guidelines, QA specifications and SPC data
  • Treat solutions in preparation for discharge
  • Monitor inventories
  • Perform other similar or related duties or flex to other areas of the plant as required

Copperbond Operator Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to solve basic math problems
  • MUST have good attendance record
  • Ability to interpret technical data and run programmable equipment
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using small hand tools
  • Ability to maintain production records and logs
  • Must pass pulmonary fit test for respirator use
  • Excellent decision making skills and organizational ability
