Join our team as the Senior Director of Strategic Marketing for a new product portfolio in oncology. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to translate business strategies into customer-centric, integrated marketing programs that drive commercial impact. You will join a world-class cross functional team, composed of members from Genentech, Roche Diagnostics and Foundation Medicine. We are looking for an innovative and customer-centric marketer who has experience in developing go-to-market strategies in emerging fields, and a proven track record of delivering profitable revenue growth.

The Opportunity:

Contribute to the Commercial Leadership Team by developing an Integrated Market Strategy:

  • You will serve as the Strategic Marketing Lead on the Commercial Leadership Team to develop and execute the marketing vision, meet long-term (3-5 year) and short-term (90-day) strategic goals.

  • You will lead the development of an integrated marketing strategy for a product portfolio that drives commercial impact.

  • You will craft value propositions for customer segments based on the competitive environment and customer insights.

  • Coach, partner with and support the commercial team to develop new marketing materials to include branding, logo, core messaging and collateral for a product launch.

  • Embrace agile working practices to mobilize the marketing team to maximize customer value and help more patients while ensuring the marketing team engages in fulfilling work.

Who you are:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree; with 10 years minimum work experience, with 8 years working in a marketing role or, an Advanced Degree with 8 years of working experience with 7 years in a marketing role may be considered.

  • You have the strong ability to think "big picture" with a strategic mindset.

  • Experience managing commercial strategy, planning and execution through a full product lifecycle, developing commercial launch plan and pre/post-launch execution.

  • Proven ability to translate complex science /technology into marketing messages, creating and launching campaigns, developing and implementing sales training.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset paired with the ability to guide, motivate, influence, inspire and empower people across different hierarchical levels within international & matrix program set-up.

  • Experience in leading, managing, coaching and motivating staff with the ability to grow and develop.

  • Enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

Preferred

  • MBA or other related graduate level degree preferred

  • Marketing experience in relevant industries

  • Experience in the Diagnostic, Device, Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry

  • Experience marketing to providers (primary care providers and health system) and direct to consumer

  • Experience in creating marketing strategies, plans and tactics that have strengthened market positioning and driven high-value customer and business outcomes

Travel Requirements: Estimated Amount: ~15% Based on business need. May include conferences, customer meetings, internal training and events.

Position is based in either South San Francisco, CA or Boston, MA, but we may consider remote within the US.

Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, California is $212,500 to $394,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below. Benefits
