Overview

The Task Force Executive Chef is responsible for implementing HEI's tools and standard Procedures at assigned hotels. Also may act as interim Executive Chef or other Department position as needed.

Responsibilities
    Implements HEI Tools, processes and procedures at the property and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Stabilizes property during Transition period with focus on proper staffing, tools to do the job, and expense controls.
  • Provides the tools and resources to maintain HEI Food Safety standards.
  • Manages food cost, labor, and energy costs efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyzes where the culinary department is performing poorly and could use training.
  • Assists when there is a lack of staff at any given property.
  • Assimilates into the daily routines that are associated with any property assigned.
  • Creates a line of communication amongst staff and other departments.
  • Creates and monitors trainings and materials for executive chef of the property.
  • Establishes rhythms associated with HEI standards and policies.
  • Assesses the situation and provides feedback and assist with the necessary improvements of department.
  • Performs any other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Culinary Degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 5years' employment in a related position.
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in Excel and Word
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or complex problems and food and beverage management.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals under time constraints.
  • Frequent travel is required (more than 75% of the time).
