Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is seeking a full-time Air Quality Specialist to join our Denver, Coloradooffice. This position offers the flexibility to accommodate a hybrid work schedule.

The primary role of this position is to provide environmental and engineering technical support for various aspects of air quality permitting and compliance programs with an emphasis on Dispersion Modeling and including:

    Preparation of emission inventories,
  • Permit application development,
  • Regulatory review,
  • Compliance recordkeeping,
  • Greenhouse gas reporting, and
  • Dispersion modeling.

The applicant should have strong technical experience with Federal and State air quality regulations and emission calculations and have experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies. This position will be expected to communicate with clients, and progress to being the primary client contact in some situations. The ideal candidate will be willing to train and mentor junior staff and ultimately grow the modeling service line.

Minimum Experience:

  • Complete Air Dispersion Modeling Projects and Reports
  • Air quality emission calculations
  • Federal air quality regulations
  • Colorado air quality regulations
  • Minor source air permitting
  • Air quality regulatory applicability determinations
  • Greenhouse gas reporting and/or regulations

Preferred Experience (beneficial but not required):

  • Other State air quality regulations
  • Major source air permitting
  • NEPA air quality analyses
  • Proficient with air emissions software such as ProMax and GRI GlyCalc
  • Supervisory experience

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, or related
  • 5 -10 years of experience in Air Quality compliance
  • A portion of that experience with the oil and gas industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
  • Strong experience with writing and communicating technical material
  • Minor travel may be necessary.

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $79,955 - $110,001. We will be accepting applications through August 12, 2024 (90 days since posting date).
