POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs professional, technical and administrative duties of basic cardiac ultrasound procedures using specialized ultrasound equipment.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program required. Current and valid ARDMS/CCI registry in Adult Echocardiography required. Maintains current and valid CPR certificati

Newly hired recent graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound or cardiovascular ultrasound program; requires two years of competent performance as a Cardiac Sonographer I at TVH to be eligible to move to Cardiac Sonographer II OR newly hired individu

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to absorb new information quickly and translate into daily clinical or administrative practice. Set individual priorities relating to echo studies and routine patient care. Combines critical thinking and analytical skill to solve routine problems. Effective oral, written and interactive skills. Detail orientation. Cooperative team player. Comfortable in fast paced, fluid environment. Able to quickly jump into situations.
