The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Security Strategist to join our team and play a key role in shaping and operationalizing our security processes and strategies. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will partner closely with leadership across the organization to develop and implement effective security processes, set strategic direction, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your Day-to-Day Role
  • Partner with the CISO to assess current security processes and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and priorities and develop security processes that align with organizational objectives.
  • Set strategy for operationalizing security initiatives, ensuring that they are effectively implemented and integrated into day-to-day operations.
  • Partner across the organization to build awareness of security risks and requirements and foster a culture of security awareness and accountability.
  • Review security incidents, lessons learned, and cost-saving opportunities to continuously improve processes and enhance security posture.
  • Drive efficiency and scalability in security operations through automation, tooling, and process optimization.
  • Stay current on emerging security trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively recommend enhancements to security processes and strategies.
Your Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on process development, strategy, and optimization.
  • Proven track record of partnering across the organization to drive security initiatives and achieve business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Experience with security incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable plans.
Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of ourEnglewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
